Your data is stored securely in our database (Turso). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

When you authorize 5bar with ChatGPT:

  • ChatGPT can access your fitness data on your behalf
  • You control what data ChatGPT can see through the permissions you grant
  • You can revoke ChatGPT's access anytime in Settings
  • OpenAI's Privacy Policy applies to data processed by ChatGPT

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data:

  • With your explicit consent (e.g., ChatGPT authorization)
  • With service providers necessary to operate the service (hosting, database, AI)
  • When required by law or to protect our rights

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View all your data in the dashboard
  • Edit: Update your workouts, goals, and settings
  • Delete: Remove your data or delete your account
  • Export: Request a copy of your data
  • Revoke: Disconnect ChatGPT or revoke API keys anytime

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use localStorage to store your authentication token (JWT) for session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

5bar is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
